So I need to be catching up in this blog. Therefore this will be another slideshow entry, but it’s still really cool, right? Basically this is covering from the end of the carnival in Rocca Grimalda, traveling to Torino, Venice, (then florence again, but no pics, more dead camera!) and Split, Croatia! Here goes!
Yes, those are bits of saints. Blood, fingernails, fingers, etc!
Glass blowing on murano was amazing to watch. The craftsmen are so skilled!
It was carnival. Although carnival was disapointing compared to the traditional ones! Not nearly as much excitement
The bridge of sighs was open this time (this was the bridge where condemned prisioners were taken over before they were killed.
After a few days in italy I took the night ferry from Ancona to Split. I had my own little room and everything!
In case you were wondering, Split is absolutely beautiful.
I stayed with two couchsurfers who showed me around and played music. It was lots of fun!
This is the main boardwalk in the Split harbor
We climbed up one of the nearby hills and took more pictures. There was a wedding photoshoot going on, which we almost joined!
If you rub his big toe you get a wish!
There were lots of roman ruins. Damien is an architecture student and could tell me all about it!
This has become one of my standard games to play with people. If you don't know it, just ask me!
Goal: Collect pictures of people with their noses twisted up from many countries!
This is the narrowest street in Split! Actually.
Yeah, so this was a restaurant. Sure, croatia, I guess that can be a name
Anyway, after Split is Lastovo, which was one of my favorite places so far (and has sword dancing!) Thats all for now, but as always I’d love to hear from you!
Watch this space!
